Questions
Frequently asked questions
The questions we are actually asked, answered as plainly as we can. Where the honest answer is that we do not claim something, it says so.
- What does "research use only" mean?
- It means these materials are supplied for laboratory research and are not for human or veterinary use. It is a statement about what is being supplied, not a regulatory category in its own right — a point worth understanding properly, and one we wrote a whole article about.
- Do you say what these compounds do?
- We describe what has been studied and how strong that evidence is. We do not say what a compound will do for anyone, because that would be a claim about a medicine. Each of the 55 written profiles states the strongest tier of evidence that exists, cites its sources, and says plainly where the evidence is thin or where a result failed to replicate.
- Why does one product have no price?
- Because it is not offered. Prices are published for everything we supply — 62 materials in the catalogue, each with its strengths listed. A product showing no price is one we have decided not to sell, and its profile records the reason.
- What is the difference between a vial and a pen?
- A vial holds lyophilised powder and is reconstituted before use. A dual-chamber pen holds the powder and the diluent in separate compartments in one device, mixed at the point of use — no separate diluent, no measuring. Pens cost more and not every product is available as one; the catalogue has an All / Vials / Pens filter so you can see which are.
- How do I place an order?
- Message us with what you need and we confirm availability and the total. The ordering page sets out the steps. There is no basket and no card is taken on this site.
- What does delivery cost?
- £4.99 to UK addresses, and free on orders over £75. We ship within the UK only.
- How do I pay?
- Bank transfer or cryptocurrency. Paying in cryptocurrency takes 5% off the order total — those payments settle immediately and cannot be reversed, which is why they carry a better price. It is not a promotion and there is no code to enter.
- Do you hold everything in stock?
- No, and the site says which. Anything held shows an In stock badge; anything else shows Enquire for availability rather than a promise. The badge is live, not set at the last deploy, so it reflects what is actually on the shelf.
- Do you claim your material is GMP manufactured or independently tested?
- No. The laboratory standards section publishes a list of exactly the claims we do not make and explains what each of those terms would actually require. Plenty of sellers make them freely. We would rather say what we can evidence and be clear about the rest.
- What is a trade account for?
- Volume. Prices are public, so an account is not needed to see them — it is for agreed terms when you buy regularly. Applications are reviewed individually.
- Can you advise me on using these?
- No. The site carries no dosing, reconstitution, preparation or administration information anywhere, and we do not advise any individual about their health. That is not evasiveness — it is the line between an information source and a medical service, and it is set out in safety and regulation.
