Terms of sale
The terms on which research materials are supplied: ordering, pricing, payment, dispatch, and what happens if something goes wrong.
This page has not yet been finalised and carries no effective date.
This is a drafting template and has not been professionally reviewed. The supplying entity is [VERIFICATION REQUIRED BEFORE PUBLICATION].
What is being supplied
All materials are supplied strictly for laboratory research use. They are not for human or veterinary use, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use, and not for use in food or cosmetics. Nothing supplied is a medicine, and no material is offered for the treatment or prevention of any condition. Placing an order confirms that the buyer is acquiring the material for laboratory research and will not administer it to a person or an animal.
When a contract is formed
An order placed through this site is an offer to buy, not a concluded contract. Confirmation that an order has been received is an acknowledgement only. A contract is formed when the order is accepted and payment has cleared, and an order may be declined — with any payment returned in full — where stock is unavailable, where the stated research context is unclear, or where supply would be unlawful.
Prices
Published prices are per unit and exclude delivery, which is shown before an order is placed. Terminus Peptides is not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and no VAT invoice can be issued. Prices may change, but the price shown when an order is placed is the price that applies to it.
Payment
Payment is by bank transfer or cryptocurrency. No card payment is taken and no card details are ever collected or stored. Payment instructions are issued after an order is placed, and materials are dispatched once payment has cleared. Cryptocurrency payments are final once sent and cannot be reversed, so buyers should check the amount and address before confirming. An order that goes unpaid is cancelled and the stock released.
Delivery, risk and title
Materials are dispatched from the United Kingdom to United Kingdom addresses. Because stock is held and shipped by Terminus Peptides rather than sent direct from a supplier, the buyer is not the importer of record and no customs charge arises on arrival. Any dispatch timescale given is an estimate and not a guaranteed date. Risk in the materials passes on delivery; title passes when payment has cleared in full.
If something arrives damaged, wrong or missing
Tell us within 48 hours of delivery, by email or through the contact page, with a photograph and the order reference. Where an item is damaged, incorrect or missing it will be replaced or refunded, at the buyer’s choice. If a parcel does not arrive at all, tell us and it will be traced with the carrier and then replaced or refunded.
Because these are temperature-sensitive research materials whose storage conditions cannot be verified once they have left our hands, materials that have been dispatched cannot be returned because a buyer has changed their mind. Nothing in these terms affects any right a consumer has under UK law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Liability
Terminus Peptides is not liable for any use made of a material after delivery, including any use outside laboratory research. Responsibility for handling, storage, containment and disposal, and for compliance with the rules of the buyer’s institution and jurisdiction, rests with the buyer. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Contact and governing law
Questions about an order should go through the contact page, quoting the order reference. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The supplying entity, its registered address and its complaints route are [VERIFICATION REQUIRED BEFORE PUBLICATION].
